Patient Services Representative
Midlands Orthpaedics & Neurosugery has a full time opportunity for front desk check in/out in our office and therapy departments. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and patient-focused candidates to work in a fast-paced environment. The position requires excellent communication and computer skills. Knowledge of managed care and government insurance types and scheduling in a medical setting is necessary. Previous medical office experience required; previous therapy front office experience and experience with Athena is a plus.

 

 

Clinical Support Positions: Medical Assistants & Nurses
Midlands Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery seeks energetic, full-time Medical Assistants with AAMA Certification and Nurses to support physician teams in office-based care. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required. Strong medical terminology, clinical assessment skills, and computer skills required. Orthopaedic or Neurosurgical experience and prior medical office experience preferred. Weekdays only; No holidays.

 

Clinical Manager

MON seeks a Clinical Manager to directly supervise office-based clinical support staff across 4 locations. This role requires expertise in direct patient care, workflow design, leadership and training of multidisciplinary teams, customer service and problem solving. Candidate must be energized by a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a focus on efficiency while remaining professional and approachable. Excellent verbal and written communication reinforced by timely feedback and follow-through are required in daily interactions with physicians, staff and patients.

Healthcare professionals licensed in SC will be considered to include nurses, therapists and APPs. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and electronic health records required.

 

 

Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner 

Midlands Orthopaedics seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team in joint replacement subspecialty.  APP will have an excellent opportunity to deliver patient care independently in a clinical setting, as well as assisting in surgery. Must be NCCPA or NP certified. Benefit package includes competitive base salary, bonus opportunity, as well as group health, life, disability insurance and 401k options.

Midlands Orthopaedics is a private practice located in Columbia, SC. Midlands has 18 physicians, 9 PAs and 1 NPs representing all orthopaedic sub-specialties, neurosurgical and pain management at 4 locations throughout the Columbia metropolitan area. Office-based MRI, occupational and physical therapy, and freestanding ambulatory surgery center enhance our comprehensive musculoskeletal care.

 

 

Maintenance Tech

FT Maintenance Tech needed. Requirements: basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and preventive maintenance skills. Utilizing skills to maintain, repair, and ensure equipment and facilities operate efficiently and effectively. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will utilize your core skills in mechanical knowledge, schematics, and facilities maintenance to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Basic computer and excellent communication skills; at least 2 yrs maintenance exp. Travel between local offices required, as needed.

 

 

Full-Time Helpdesk Specialist.

This entry-level role is part of a 2-person team serving as the first point of contact for physician and staff end users at 4 locations seeking assistance with desktop computers, mobile devices, local and cloud-based software applications, printers, copiers/faxes, phones, network connectivity and any other technology related issue impacting practice workflows under the direction of and supported by the practice’s Managed Service Provider (MSP). This role also participates in configuration, installation, upgrades, replacement and deployment of new computer equipment and related devices.

Support is rendered from a centralized IT department and in-person at the end-user’s workstation. Excellent communication and customer service skills are required as effective interaction with end-users and efficient resolution of their technology issues are equally important. Candidates should enjoy helping end-users solve problems and not be frustrated by repetitive requests.

Proficiency in Microsoft365 and related applications is required. Experience with electronic medical record software and/or PACs imaging systems is helpful.
